Description
Pass Seymour® Arc fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) receptacle is the latest innovation in electrical safety technology and a Code-approved alternative to AFCI breakers. AFCI receptacles protect against electrical fires by detecting arc faults and de-energizing the circuit. Part of the radiant® collection of wiring devices, wall plates and home systems. Feed-through protection. Two back-wire holes per termination add wiring flexibility, eliminate pig tailing and save box space. High-impact-resistant, thermoplastic construction for superior strength and durability. Auto-ground clip assures a positive ground to metal box. Ground terminal back-wire for fast installation. Tamper-resistant, automatic shutter system prevents children from inserting objects such as hairpins or keys. Indicator light. Patented SafeLock® Protection, if critical components are damaged and arc fault protection is lost, power to the receptacle is disconnected. Prevents line load miswire, no power to the face or downstream if wired incorrectly. Black shutters essentially disappear into the background for an invisible effect preferred by end users.
